Fabulous Friday!

LifeasaWife

So happy that it is Friday! I have been sick the past two days, thank goodness for sick pay! I am finally starting to feel a little better, but this weekend I will be resting, relaxing, and resting some more!

Tonight I am spending the evening at home with my mom, little sister Jodell, and Sean. I LOVE having nights to just BE and spend time with the family. I haven't had many lately, so I cherish them very much. Depending on how I feel, we are suppose to go meet Sean's sister's new boyfriend later on tonight. She is very excited about him, so were are happy to go and support her!

Saturday will be a busy day! A couple months ago my dad mentioned he would love to get a new picture of my sisters and I. The ones he has are at least 10 years old! We decided to surprise him with a new picture for Christmas!  My favorite photographer Ria (you may know her from her blog Life as a Wife!)  will be taking our pictures! She also did my amazing engagement pics that are all over my blog, and will be covering our wedding as well! I am so thankful we found her :) Thanks Ria!!

After the shoot I will be working all day, and night. I am a PCA for a boy with autism, and have been for 4 years now. He will be coming over to my house and spending time with us, he is pretty much like one of the family now! My little sister Jodell has a lot planned for them. Carving pumpkins, making caramel apples, and watching a movie are on the list!! Should be fun!!

Here they are! I will be taking newer pics this weekend!

Sunday will be a catch up day as usual! Gotta love it!

Have a fabulous Friday everyone! Share with me what you will be doing :)

Thankful on a Thursday!

McGlothin Family Nest

One of my favorite days to blog is finally here! Thankful on a Thursday :) I love writing the things I am thankful for, it truly shows me how great of a life I have, and how blessed I have been! Lets get started!

16. Sleeping! I have been under the weather this week, so sleeping has been my best friend! Anybody that knows me knows I can sleep whenever, wherever, FOREVER! Ever since I was little I have loved my sleep.

17. Hot chocolate and peanut butter toast! These two together are my favorite, it's such a comfort food! I would describe it as tasting like a recesses cup!! YUMMY!

18. My friends! I have such amazing friends that are always there to support me! I cannot be thankful enough for them!

19. The incredible Love I was blessed with! It amazes me each day that Sean and I were lucky enough to meet at the young age of 14...and have been inseparable ever since! His love, patience, and support for me is such a blessing,  I can not be more thankful!

20. Blessed Be Your Name! This is such a GREAT song!! Wanted to share it with you :)

"Every blessing you pour out i'll turn back to praise. When the darkness closes in Lord, still I will say. Blessed be the name of the Lord, Blessed be Your name."

Wedding Update!

BURRRRR is all I have to say right now! MN weather is terrible today...I could not believe my eyes when I woke up and saw SNOW!! And on top of that there are 46 mph winds! EWWW! This is the perfect day to curl up and watch a movie, oh how I wish I could do that!

I wanted to take the time today to do a little update on my wedding planning :)  Last weekend we took the time to go down to a place called Market flowers. I LOVED it there! The idea is so brilliant! So you basically order the flowers you want, then you go there and make the bouquets and what not yourself to save money! I have heard you save up to 80% here, and I am all for saving!! I think it will be a fun bonding experience too for me and my bridesmaids a couple days before the wedding....I am a little concerned about making the corsages, but I am sure someone will be able to help me :)  I knew I wanted to keep my centerpieces very natural....flowers, water, sticks, rocks...something along those lines. I think it represents Sean and me and is beautiful as well. I found these flowers that I fell in love with! I'm thinking these in a tall vase with water and sticks? What do you think?

I think they are so romantic!
So when  Sean proposed, we both knew we wanted to find a church of our own to get married in, and of course grow in our faith together.  Growing up we both were part of a church, but we decided to branch out and try other churches and find one to join together! After attending a couple different churches, we found one we felt was perfect! It is beautiful, and the members are so welcoming! In a couple Sundays we are meeting with the church to become members, and the Sunday following that we will be welcomed into the church followed by a celebration after the service! We are so excited!!

The last thing I have been thinking a lot about lately is the music for the ceremony. There are a lot of songs I really like, but it's so hard to choose where to use them. This is one of the songs that I really enjoyed from church, any ideas as to where it could fit into the ceremony!

I look forward to hearing your thoughts! Please share, and have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Miracles happen! Oh and Challenge day

So I wanted to share with you a story I saw yesterday on TV. It is such a tragic story, but also proves that miracles do happen, and God WILL guide you through everything you face.

The Coble family consisted of mom and dad and 3 beautiful children. A boy who was 5, a girl who was 4, and another little girl who was 2. One day mom and the kids were leaving the mall, and an 18 wheeler rear ended their mini van. All three children passed away, but the mom survived. I cannot even imagine the pain this couple was facing, loosing all three of their little angels in the blink of an eye. Listening to their story about picking out three little caskets, and how the house was so painfully silent crushed me. I was literally in tears.....They had a lot of home videos and pictures of their beautiful children, it very hard to watch. Believe it or not, out of this horrible tragedy came an incredible miracle. A year after the death of their three children, the couple welcomed TRIPLETS into their family! Now get this, they were blessed with a boy, and 2 girls! Isn't this an incredible miracle? This story was so moving so I wanted to take the time to share. If you want to read more about this story CLICK HERE

Okay now on a lighter note, its challenge day! The last challenge was to do something your parents would not allow you to do as a child! Now I had a couple ideas for this challenge, but I ended up decided I wanted to finally carve my own pumpkin! Yes, I am 22 and have NEVER carved my own pumpkin. Growing up, my dad would always cut the pumpkin open. My sisters and I would take out the "guts" and then draw the faces but then dad would carve them. I guess it makes sense that we weren't allowed to do so, but either way I felt I had missed out and was super excited to carve my own! Here is it!

It's suppose to be a cat, but it didn't turn out exactly as I pictured it..Oh well I had a blast anyways!

Next weeks challenge is: Spend 15-20 minutes doing something you LOVE that you don't often have the time to do.

This will be quite the challenge for me considering how crazy busy I am! I look forward to hearing if any of you have participated! Oh and one more thing! If you are reading my blog and enjoy it, please become a follower!! Thanks :)

I wanted to end by sharing one of my favorite songs from church! Enjoy and have a happy Tuesday everyone!

What a weekend!

Hello! I hope everyone's weekend was fabulous! Mine sure was :)  Even though it's Monday (BIG DISLIKE) I am going to try hard to keep positive and motivated to take this busy week head on!

Friday night we headed up north to the wonderful cabin with Sean and my friends Nicole and Jordan! Nicole has been my bestie since we were 3, and is also the one that introduced me to Sean, I love her dearly! We packed a ton of blankets for the cold weather, delicious food, pumpkins, and four wheelers, what else could you need?

Saturday we went four wheeling most the day, which was extremely wet and cold! The weather was not so nice to us, but we definitely made the best of it! We ended up stopping at a store and getting warmer, and dry gloves which was nice! We also stopped off for a warm cup of soup and some lunch! After lunch it started to rain even harder, so we decided to head back, which was still over about an hour ride. We decided we were wet anyways, so we might as well ride fast through the HUGE puddles and get all muddy! SO FUN! Here are some pics of our day!

Nicole and me!

My love and me FREEZING and SOAKING

Nicole and Jordan

When we got back to the cabin we all got into dry clothes and warmed up! We started carving our pumpkins and cooking an amazing dinner of steak, potatoes, asian pasta salad, and hamburgers! We had so much fun relaxing and truly just enjoying life!

The boys took this seriously!

I love this one :)

Finished product!
Sunday we went out four wheeling for a bit longer, it wasn't as rainy and we actually had rain gear this time around! It was a blast splashing through the puddles, I felt like a kid again! I wish amazing weekends like this could last longer, but they always just fly by! Oh well, I am just thankful to have made some more great memories with some of my favorite people!

Share the memories you made this weekend with me, and make the best out of Monday!

Happy Happy Friday!

LifeasaWife

YAY!!! I am so SO happy it is Friday, and what a wonderful Friday it is! Today I don't have to work, so I didn't have to wake up to an alarm at 5:30am, I don't remember the last time that happened! How amazing it feels to sleep in, and not HAVE to get up! Can't start my day any better than waking up to this cute furry face

My Friday is full of stuff to do! Funny how when you have a day off, you still are busy busy! I have laundry, some homework, and packing for the cabin to get done. Most importantly though, is a sister date! I have 3 sisters, Jessica, Jaclyn, and Jodell. It is very rare that all 4 of us can get together, so today we are going to have a lunch date! I am very excited, it should be a fun time :)

Jodell and me
Jessica, Jaclyn, and me!

Later this evening when Sean gets off work, we will be heading up to the cabin with our friends Nicole and Jordan. Nicole and me have been friends since we were 3! She is basically like my 4th sister, definitely part of my family! We have a weekend planned of four wheeling, grilling, and catching up! Here is a picture of us at the cabin last summer!

Share with me why your Friday is Fabulous!! Have a great weekend everyone :)

So much to be Thankful for!

McGlothin Family Nest

Yay! It's Thankful on a Thursday, and I have so much to be thankful for! First things first, I have been very busy this week, and wasn't able to update the challenge for Tuesday, so we will just extend last weeks challenge, its a fun one anyways; Do something your parents would have never let you do as a child :)! Okay, here is what I am thankful for today!

11. Normal test rests! God has answered all my prayers, My sister Jodell's MRI came back normal! God is SO amazing, and I can't be thankful enough! Keep her in your prayers as we continue to look for answers!

12. Sweatshirts, sweaters, scarfs, and anything cozy! I am always cold, so I am so thankful when I can wear something nice and cozy! Today is going to be chilly, and I will have to be outside for work, so I am definitely very thankful for my warm clothing!

13. Inspirational Quotes! Lately I have loved looking at quotes for inspiration. There are so many amazing ones that offer wisdom, inspiration, and just make you feel better to read! Here are two of my recent favorites!

So make a decision today and decide how you want to live your life from this moment forward. Never take life for granted and always remember that we only have right here and now. Everyone deserves to be, do and have anything their heart desires

Life is short!
Bend the rules!
Forgive quickly!
Kiss slowly,
Love freely,
Laugh uncontrollably,
And never regret anything
that made you smile!

14. Pictures! A couple days ago, I got caught up looking at by photo albums. I forgot how many I have, and how many great memories I have made over the years with my friends and family. Pictures are such a blessing, and always bring a smile to my face!

15. Keely & Kirby! These are my two other cats, I kinda left them out last week, but I love them dearly! They are getting older, and have been wonderful cats to have! Aren't they cute!?

Kirby!

Keely

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Thankful on a Thursday? AND tomorrow is Friday and I will be going to the cabin. YAY! more on that tomorrow!! Have a wonderful day everyone :)

My Walk To I DO

Hello Everyone! I hope this weekend was great to all of you :)

Friday Sean and my date night was so nice and relaxing! I LOVE time to just relax and not have a schedule to follow, it was definitely needed! Saturday I had to work all day! This made my weekend fly by to say the least. Thankfully I have awesome coworkers that keeps things fun and interesting!

Saturday night Sean and I headed up north to my sister Jessica, and her boyfriend Jory's house. We went out to dinner, and then to a Halloween festival called Dead End. It consisted of a haunted hay ride, haunted house, AND a haunted corn maze. This is when I had my biggest laugh of the weekend. My sister and I are wimps, so we were so scared and screaming at everything that popped out! Well we were going through the haunted house and we get into a room with a strobe light and a bunch of white sheets. It was so hard to see anything, and very disorienting. Behind some sheets were walls and dead ends, some where monsters, and if you got lucky you would find the way. We didn't get lucky! We lost the boys, and were completely terrified being chased by a clown, and not being able to find our way out of the sheets! It was so scary, but at the same time we couldn't stop laughing....so FUN!

Sunday at church was amazing! Our pastor did the prayer different, and I absolutely loved it! During the silence he would say a different person to pray for, such as someone who needs a good role model, someone who is sick, someone who is facing financial struggles and so forth. It lasted for about 15 minutes, and I had someone in my life to pray for under each category. It was so incredible to actually step back and realize how many different struggles and obstacles people are facing. It felt good to pray for them! Also, please keep my little sister in your prayers, she will be going to the Dr. again tomorrow to undergo more testing. I am very worried about her, so all the prayers are greatly appreciated!

This week is a busy busy week! Due to MEA I have to work long shifts on Wednesday and Thursday, so the time I have to get all my school work done is cut in half! UGH! I hope everyone has a fantastic Monday!

It's Fabulous Friday!

LifeasaWife

I am soooo thrilled it is finally Friday, I am definitely ready for this week to end to say the least! I have quite the busy weekend ahead of me!  Today I will be trying to catch up on homework and some sleep. I worked until 11 last night, and than again at 6 this morning, so I am exhausted. Tonight Sean and I are having a night for us to relax and just BE together...our time has been limited lately. I'm thinking Chinese take out and a movie sounds perfect!

Unfortunately I have to work 8-3 on Saturday. Once I get off, Sean and I will be heading up north a bit to my sister and her boyfriends house. We will be going to dinner, then to a haunted hayride and corn maze. Should be a blast! I just love Halloween and Fall festivities.

Sunday we will be going to church of course! After church we will be going to check out a floral market that my wonderful photographer recommended to me! I LOVE flowers at weddings, however I cannot justify spending almost a thousand dollars on something that will die in a couple days. I would much rather spend that money on pictures, videography, and things that will provide me with memories of my special day.  This market has beautiful flowers, but to save money you and your bridesmaids get to go to their warehouse and actually make the bouquets. Sounds like fun to me! Later on we will be watching the Vikings game and making dinner with our friends Jessie and Justin. Busy Busy Busy!

I hope you all have amazing weekends! If you are from MN enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts!

Thankful on a Thursday!

I wanted to start by thanking every one for the support and advice yesterday. I was definitely having a down day, but I am trying to turn that around! So lets start Thankful on a Thursday! I am thankful for many MANY things this week here they are :)

6. Jodell!  Jodell is my little sister, and she means the world to me. We have had such a special bond since she was born. She is has the biggest imagination, and I love nothing more than to play with her, and talk to her. She is such a sweet and special little girl, and I am thankful I was blessed with her as my little sister. Here is a pic of us!

7. Oliver! Oliver is my kitty, well he is 1 year old now. He is the sweetest, most playful, and entertaining cat I have ever met. Most cats are pretty independent, but he is the best company you could ask for. It is funny how an animal can make you feel better, and put a smile on your face without talking! Here is is! So handsome :)

8. My parents!  They have been such an inspiration and so supportive to me. They have always been understanding, and I can share anything with them! They  have been involved  in my life no matter what, and have always looked out for what was best for me and my sisters. I cannot thank them enough for being such wonderful parents. Here's my parents and me!

9. People who rescue and take care of animals! Yesterday on Facebook I saw a group that was trying to legalized dog fighting. This literally made me sick to my stomach. It makes me so sad to hear about all the animals that need homes, or the ones who are abused. Just because they can't voice their opinion doesn't mean they shouldn't be treated with love and respect. It is still a life, and should be cherished. A couple months ago, Sean and I rescued a stray cat that had horrible trauma to the side of his head from abuse. He ended up having to get a tooth pulled, and an eye removed. He is the sweetest cat, and it is so unfortunate he had to go through this, and he is only a year and a half. He is now living with my little sister and her dad! Here he is, happy and healthy as ever!

10. Music! Music is such an inspiration, and so encouraging.  Whenever I am having a bad day, or a hard week such as this week, I can always depend on music to lift my spirits. Here is a song I have been loving lately, I can relate to it so well!  It helps remind me that I will eventually get to where I want to be :)

Have a wonderful Thursday :)

Got to have Faith!

What beautiful weather on this Wednesday! Finally the much needed weekend is in sight! This has been a long, difficult week, and month I guess you could say. I have been feeling really run down lately, and I need a break! Well, that's easier said than done right?

Recently I have noticed I have been slowly loosing my motivation. It is getting harder to do my school work, and harder to wake up in the morning for work.  I have had the same schedule since I graduated from high school in 2007. Wake up at 5:30, be to work by 6:30. School in the afternoon, and back to work by 3:30 for the rest of the evening. I kept asking myself, Why am I having so much trouble NOW, when I need the motivation the most?  Well, I figured out there are multiple answers to this question.  I am 5 months away from graduating with my bachelor's degree. So close, yet I just want to be done. I feel my classes are repetitive, they are getting harder, and I have run out of steam with this whole college thing. I also realized that I am just so anxious to start my life with Sean, that I am getting tired of the long long LONG journey it has taken to get there. Everyone keeps saying your so close, and yes we are, but I don't know if anyone truly understand how we feel.

Sean and I started dating when we were 14, so we have been together for 8 years. I am so thankful we were lucky enough to meet so young, but at the same time it has been very difficult.  We are so anxious to get a home of our own, get married, adopt a dog, and to just have a "normal" schedule. We have such big dreams for ourselves, ones that we have been talking about for years and years. Most people would have had all these things by now....which is what is so difficult about it.  Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my life, and I feel so blessed to have an amazing fiancé, but at this point I just want to get to our spot in life...does this make sense?

I don't mean to be negative, but I am having one of those days. Sean and I had a long talk about this last night. He has been such incredible support to me, and to our dreams. He is definitely my rock that keeps me going.  We talk about how we know God has a plan for us, and we just have to keep faith that we will get there with time. I need to keep reminding myself to be patient, keep praying, and just wait for a sign.  I would love to hear any advice :)

"In these troubling times, I am filled with unspeakable fears. I reach my hand out to you now. I ask you to walk beside me. Please help me hold on strong, and help me hold my hopes high."
Amen!

It's Tuesday, Challenge Day!!

Hello everyone! It is finally Tuesday, our challenge day! I really hope some of you took on the challenge, and had fun doing so. If not, join in this week! Last weeks challenge was to find a reason to celebrate, and do something to celebrate it. Here is what Sean and I did!

We decided up north would be the perfect place to celebrate.  We were celebrating the anniversary of our engagement, and the beautiful season of Fall.  First we went to the spot we got engaged! We had a drink, and reminisced about the special day.  After that, we decided to go to our favorite little bar/restaurant out there called Rosenthals. It is a huge hang out for four wheelers.  There we celebrated Fall by ordering chicken and rice soup (delicious)!! When we got back to the cabin, we tried out a new recipe in the slow cooker, chicken tortellini stewp.  It  is a cross between soup and stew, hence the name stewp. It turned out really good! I love cooking for the season, and Fall definitely calls out stew, soup, and anything else warm and  comforting! It was so fun to celebrate for no reason, very relaxing and exciting as well! If you did celebrated something, share with me what you did :)

The new challenge this week is: Do something your parent's would have never allowed you to do as a kid!  This could be something as simple as staying up late... but try to get creative with this! Enjoy :)

Today I am also asking for prayers for my little sister. She is 11, and means the world to me. She has been very sick, and the Dr.'s haven't been able to figure out why. Thankfully she got better, and was better for about a month.  The last couple days however, she has been sick again. I pray she won't get in her routine of being sick for months at a time again, and it's just a bug.  Thanks for the prayers everyone :)

Here is a song that is truly inspiring! It has definitely help keep me positive through the tough times! Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

It's that time again, MONDAY! I'm having a hard time with Monday this week, trying to stay positive and motivated for the busy week ahead.

This weekend was so wonderful!! Friday night Sean and I headed up north to the cabin for our special Fall trip! Every year just me and him take a trip to go four wheeling and look at the leaves...it's always so much fun! The weather was amazing, much warmer than it normally is for our trip! Saturday was the day we devoted to four wheeling. The leaves were a little bit past their peak up there, but it was still beautiful. Here are a couple pics from our day!

View from the bedroom...Heaven on Earth!

Sean and the Doggy

Getting ready to four wheel

One of the trails

Yay! We stopped at our engagement spot!

:-)
During our ride, we shared one of the biggest laughs of the weekend. We were going pretty fast, talking, and enjoying ourselves. All the sudden jumped something! Sean hit the handle bars, I ran into him...At first this was not funny...then we look at each other, realized everything was okay, and started laughing hysterically.  We had hit a deep rut and flew in the air!

Once we got back from four wheeling we made dinner and watched a movie. We were soo tired we ended up falling asleep at 8 and not waking up till 8 the next morning! We definitely needed that rest! Sunday we headed home pretty early. On the way home we were laughing the whole time. I brought along all my old cds, and Sean loves to make up his own words to them...He makes me laugh so hard!

Once we got home we decided to drive out to St. Francis and look at the area. We are really getting the itch to buy a house, and have found some really nice ones for an affordable price we would LOVE! We want to move up north a little too, just enough to get away from the city, but not to far.  We loved it out there, and we found 2 houses we fell in love with! If only it was a couple months down the road, we would definitely be ready! Who knows, maybe they will still be on the market when its our time...We set up a strict budget so we are ready once we graduate! We know God has a plan for us, we just need to stay patient and continue to work hard :)

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend, and shared lots of laughs with their loved ones! Share them with me, I would love to hear :-)

Fabulous Friday!

LifeasaWife

Yay! It is finally Friday! I love the weekends so very much! Lately I haven't been able to spend much time with Sean during the week, so we definitely cherish our weekends together!

Tonight Sean and I will be packing up and heading to the cabin for our Fall cabin trip! Each year we take a special trip up there to go four wheeling and look at the beautiful leaves! During one of our trips was actually when Sean proposed to me, it was so special and couldn't have been more perfect!  We will be going back to the exact spot :)

Yummy!
We don't have much planned for up there.  We are going to bring up lots of movies, lots of food, and just relax! We are in need of this time!!  We are excited to try out a new slow cooker recipe!  If it turns out well, I will share it with you :)

I did however want to share this delicious recipe in case anyone is feeling like baking this weekend! The recipe is for Chocolate Caramel Bars, so anyone with a sweet tooth will LOVE THIS!
Click Here! If you want to check it out!

If you wanted to participate in my challenge this week, the challenge is:
Find something to celebrate and do something to celebrate it!
The weekend would be the perfect time to do this!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Share with me your plans :)

Thankful on a Thursday!

McGlothin Family Nest

Hello everyone! I am very excited to be joining Thankful on a Thursday! I am so happy it is Thursday because that of course means tomorrow is the start of another glorious weekend! Well here are five things I am thankful for this week!

1. The weather! We have been blessed with such beautiful weather this week.  It has been so refreshing to be able to be outside, and of course to look at the amazing colors Fall has to offer us!

2. My family! They have been so supportive and helpful through my busy schedule the past couple years! I could have never stayed so motivated and focused without all their love, support, and reassurance! I love them very much!

3. Naps! I have been very lucky this week to be able to sneak in a little nap each day! I love cuddling up in my bed, and dozing off for a little while. It is such a pick me up and helps get me ready for my evening shift at work

4. The cabin! I am so thankful to be lucky enough to have a cabin to escape to. Sean and I will be making our traditional cabin trip (also how we got engaged) this weekend! I love going up there when it's a little chillier and making coffee, hot chocolate, of course soups and stews in the slow cooker! More to come on our get away :)

Our Cabin!
5. My fiance Sean! He is such a caring and loving person. Between school and work he has been putting in 12 hour days, and it is all for our future! I cannot thank him enough for all his hard work and dedication. I love you sweetie!

Isn't he handsome ;-)
I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday! Share with me what you are Thankful for today :)

Making each day count...

I recently attended a training for work. This training hit home, so I figured I would share it with you. I work for a childcare program, and the message from the training was how once we become adults reality and responsibility of life start to weigh down on us. The burden of bills, work, and other stressors we may have cover over our childlike traits. No where is it written that once your an "adult" you have to succumb to these pressures and be so serious all the time. I am so busy with work and school that I totally see myself succumbing to this, and I want to put an end to this! They taught us about 8 secrets to escape adulthood and live a more fulfilled and stress free life. Each of these 8 secrets come so easily to children, but for some reason we forget about them as adults. The 8 secrets are:

-Delight in the little things
-Dream Big
-Get Curious
-Live Passionately
-Play
-Be honest
-Have Faith
-Maintain Perspective

The more I thought about it the more I realized I see the children I work with live by these 8 secrets everyday, but rarely do I notice myself or other adults live by them. Children aren't materialistic (at least most aren't). They get so excited over the smallest things that may not even be things.

I have decided to take on a "challenges" each week to help myself escape the everyday stresses I face. I would love for you all to take on the challenge as well. Every Tuesday I will post a new challenge and share about the previous weeks challenge. I would LOVE if you all joined in and shared. I think it will be so refreshing to do something special and out of the ordinary each week.

Think about it, nobody looks back when they are old and wish they spent more time in the office. People look back and wish they spent more time cherishing their family, paying attention to what really matters, and making memories. I know I don't want to live my life by a to do list, but I want to make every day count!

THIS WEEKS CHALLENGE: Find a reason to celebrate and do something to celebrate it

Don't over think this, children celebrate the little things such as loosing a tooth, or finding a penny on the ground :) Enjoy yourself while you celebrate. I hope to hear your sweet comments, and how you make each day count!

"Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude"

Laughed About Monday is here!

My Walk To I DO

Hello everyone! I am very excited to get this new link up party going! I hope you all join and share about your lovely laughs. I can only imagine how fun it will be to read!

Anyways, this weekend was busy busy.  The wedding on Saturday turned out amazing! The ceremony was at the Como Zoo Conservatory, so beautiful! The reception was at a place in Blaine called The Elegance Room.  It was gorgeous to say the least! I am very happy for this sweet couple, and feel so blessed they will be my future brother and sister in law! Their wedding made me start thinking of all the things I need to do for my own wedding! We are a little under a year now, and I can only imagine how fast the time will fly with how busy we are!  Below are a few pics from the gorgeous day!
Sean with his brother Brandon and nephew Terell
Me and my future nieces. So adorable!
The beautiful bride!
Here comes the bride! Brandon looks so happy happy :)

During the reception I definitely had my biggest laugh of the weekend.  Sean has two nieces, and a nephew.  They are filled with energy and attitude! It was time for the bouquet toss so the DJ put on Single Ladies by Beyonce.  Sean's niece Ciera all the sudden starts doing the exact dance from the music video!  She is only 7 years old and she looked just like Beyonce! It was the cutest and funniest thing! The guests formed a circle around her and she thrived off the attention! We still don't know where she learned how to dance like that!! Later in the night Sean's nephew Terell decided to bust out his own moves to Micheal Jackson.  Once again we were laughing hysterically and in aw at where he learned how to do the moonwalk! He did a great job, it was so fun to see these kids having  a great time!

Sunday was a nice relaxing day.  We went out to breakfast at Fat Nat's Eggs which was delicious.  I love little ma and pa diners.  After breakfast we went home and layed around for the afternoon.  We started watching a new show called Untold Stories of the ER.  It definitely reminded me how blessed I am to have a healthy family, but it also made me a little uneasy because there are so many freak accidents that you would never expect to happen! Sunday evening we met up with our friends Nicole and Jordan at Buffalo Wild Wings.  We haven't seen these sweethearts for a couple months so it was great to catch up! We shared some laughs reminiscing over the past! Nicole and I have been friends since we were 3 years old, it is so amazing to have a friend like that!

Share your laughs from the weekend with me, I would love to hear :)  Have a wonderful Monday everyone!

LifeasaWife

Hello everyone! I am so excited to finally be joining the blogging world! I have been wanting to start one for quite a while now, but have been so busy! I am a little overwhelmed with this, it seems very confusing! Hopefully I will catch on quickly. I want to start by telling you a little about myself! I am a 22 year old college student who works full time and is engaged to a wonderful man named Sean. I am working on graduating in March, and getting married in September of next year. Within that time we of course will be getting a home of our own!  It will be a year of such huge milestones, and I cannot wait to share it with you all!

Okay anyways, my good friend Jessie has invited me to join Fabulous Friday! Oh how happy I am it is finally Friday, it has been a long week for me!  Tomorrow my finance's brother is getting married, so this weekend will be full off wedding fun and family! Today Sean took a half day off work today, and we will be picking up his tux, getting his hair cut, and of course helping prepare his house for the grooms dinner and rehearsal tonight!  Saturday is the big day! I am so excited for Brandon and Bekah, they are such a fun loving couple, and I am sure their day will be amazing! It will also be fun to catch up with Sean's family from out of town. It has been a while since we have seen them.

Sunday will be a nice relaxing day.  We of course will be starting our day off with church and coffee!  Later in the day we will be getting together with my long time friend Nicole and her sweetheart Jordan.  We are thinking of going to a corn maze.  Fall is my favorite time of the year. It is so beautiful and I have so much fun with all the Fall activities!  I also am going to be sharing my engagement photos with her and her family.  They turned out incredible, and I am super excited to show them off  :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend as well! Share with me what your doing, I would love to hear :)

P.S. Jessie and I are starting a "Linky Party" on Monday. We want to hear what laughs people shared over the lovely weekend! Make sure to come back Monday to join in on the fun!
