Time Managment

Today is a blah day. Do you ever have one of those days where you have no motivation what so ever, you are tired beyond belief, and you just want to be home laying in bed? BLAH! Thats me today. One thing weighing heavy on my mind is time management. I have been really struggling with this lately.

I work on average 47 hours a week. I wake up at 4:30am every day. Taking this into consideration, when I am home I have barley any energy and just want to rest which usually ends up in me falling asleep very early. This is so unproductive, and wastes precious time away. On nights when I do have some motivation/energy I find myself cleaning, doing laundry, or finding something else to do around the house.. so here is the problem.

Four things you can't recover
-The stone after it's thrown
-The word after it's said
-The occasion after it's missed
-The time after it's gone

Each and every day is a blessing from God...tomorrow is never promised, and every second should be cherished.

So now I sit here and think...

Are the dishes more important than cuddling my husband?

Is that TV show too important to shut off during dinner so Sean and I can focus on eachother..and just eachother?

Is working my second job really worth that extra money every couple weeks when it takes precious time away from my family?

There are so many distractions in life whether it be the internet, smart phone, tv, or work, that take away from what is really important in life.

I can't wait to get off work today, and spend the night with Sean. He is the most important. Our relationship deserves us taking that time away from not so important things to spend together...tonight I plan on doing just that.

Back to Reality, Weekend Recap!

Well it is Monday. The long beautiful weekend filled with family, friends, and food is over. It is very hard for me to go back to reality. Back to getting up at 4:30am to go to work, not seeing my family as much, and about a 100% decline in the amount of rest and relaxation I get during the week. However, I am going to  take on this week on a postive note...27 days until Christmas, which means a whole 10 days off of work!

Before I recap this wonderful weekend, I must admit I was a horrible blogger and forgot my camera for the family get togethers...I am super bummed considering it was Sean and my first Thanksgiving as a married couple. Oh well, life goes on right?

Wednesday Sean and I went to dinner with my sister Jaclyn and our friend Jesse. Afterwards we met up with my older sister Jessica and her boyfriend Jory to celebrate his birthday! It was a blast!

Thursday was the big day! We spend Thanksgiving with Sean's family this year. There was a lot of laughs, eating, and catching up. It was a fun time! Afterwards we went to his parents house to pick up this:

My dad's snowmobile. It has been in storage for quite a while now at Sean's parents, so we are both very excited to have it home and ready to take out! I have a lot of great childhood memories riding this sled with my dad!

Friday we got up pretty early and headed out to get some black Friday shopping in. It actually wasn't too bad. I got a few gifts checked off the list, and we got our Christmas tree and all of the decorations for it at an amazing price! We also found Remi an ugly sweater for our upcoming ugly sweater party. She isn't too excited about it, but it's perfect!

Once we got home we instantly started on the tree!! It turned out beautiful!

Saturday we wasted the day away with Christmas music and movies, relaxing, eating, and indulging in time to just be! It was so wonderful!

Sunday we had a second Thanksgiving at Sean's brothers. The food here was amazing, we all stuffed ourselves until we couldn't anymore! We also got to spend some time with the newest addition the family, our nephew Keniston. He is so stinkin cute and growing up so fast!

I am so very thankful for such a perfect weekend. I hope all of yours were blessed and full of love! I am off to catch up on your blogs now :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am keeping it short and sweet this morning. I will be MIA the rest of the week enjoying time with my famiy and friends. I want to wish everyone a blessed Thanksgiving and a safe holiday weekend.

I pray that as you sit down to enjoy your turkey dinner your heart is full. Each and every day is a blessing from God, and the centeral purpose of this celebration is to give Him thanks!

I want to thank the Lord our Savior Jesus Christ for all of His blessings. I know my heart is overly full with Thanksgiving this year!

"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" Colossians 3:17

God Bless!

Family

2 days, 2 days! Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, bread rolls, cranberrys, and pumpkin pie is just around the corner and I couldn't be more excited! Today I want to blog about the thing I am MOST thankful for..my family.

Family is the most important thing in my life hands down. I have a special bond with each and every person in my family. Lets start with my parents.

My dad is the most kind person I know. He has always been supportive of my sisters and I 100%, and always encouraged us to be the best we can be! He is so patient, caring, and gentle hearted. I love you dad!! You are the most incredible dad and I can't be thankful enough I was blessed to be your daughter!

My mom is one of my best friends. She has always been there for my sisters and I through thick and thin. Whether I need someone to cry on, laugh with, get advice from, or to just hang out with my mom is right there! She is the most generous woman I know, and I can only hope I am as good of a mom as her one day! I love you mom and feel so blessed to have you!

My sisters are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Not many people can say they have 4 sisters that they are pretty much inseperable with. There is not one day that goes by that I don't talk to each of my sisters is some shape or form. They are all my best friends, and I know I will always have them to rely on in any given situation. I am so very thankful for my incredible sisters! I love you all!

Sean...he is perfect in every way. He is not only my husband but my BEST friend, my rock, my everything. A little rewind here...Sean and I met and started dating when we were 14. We have truly grown up together, made mistakes together, and made so many amazing memories that I will forever be thankful for. Even on my worst days he can make me smile, laugh, feel beautiful, and most of all never lets me forget how loved I am. He is simply amazing..words cannot even describe how thankful I am that God blessed me with my one and only so young. I love you babe!

I also want to say I am thankful for my extended famiy and all my great friends! I am seriously overwhelmed with Thanksgiving!

I will never be able to express my gratitude for the loved ones in my life. I will forever be thankful that God blessed me with such an incredible, loving family.

God Bless

Thankful

What a lovely weekend. I hope all of you had a blessed weekend as well. With the holiday of Thanksgiving upon us I want to share things I was thankful for this weekend!

Friday we had some friends over. I am VERY thankful for my friends. They are all so loving, caring, and generous. Happy news! We got the invites out for the ugly sweater party. I am SO excited!

{In advanced, sorry for all the cell phone pics! I kept forgetting my camera this weekend!}

Saturday morning Sean, my mom, and I volunteered at the new church. I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful experience. It is an amazing feeling to be helping to bring a place of worship to our community.

Saturday also brought Minnesota our first snow fall. I am not a fan of driving in it, or the extreme cold..however it is SO beautiful, which I am thankful for. This was Remi's first snow fall, and she loved it! She bounced around in it and just had a blast!

I was just LOVING her puppy paw prints :)

OH! and my mom got me a new center piece for my table! Thanks mom! Love you and I am SO very thankful for you!

Saturday evening we had a little date night in our cozy home. We ordered some dinner, and cuddled in to watch Water for Elephants which was SO good! This movie made showed me how lucky I am to have an amazing husband. I am incredibly thankful for Sean!

Sunday we went to church, grocery shopped, then spent the rest of the day doing stuff around the house, which I am thankful to have accomplished!
-Laundry
-Cleaning
-Baked Cookies
-Made ham, pickle, and cream cheese rolls (YUM)
-Listened to Christmas music
-Cooked dinner
-Endulged in my favortite Christmas candy!

One last thing I am thankful for today...a 3 day work week and a 4 day weekend!

Happy Monday Wednesday friends :)

It's FRIDAY Friends!!

We have finally made it! I feel like with the Holidays right around the corner, these dreadful week days drag by!!

This weekend we have a variety of things planned.

Tonight we are having some of our amazing friends over. I am excited to hang out, have some yummy food and catch up. A couple of us girls are also going to be planning our first ever ugly sweater party! Have any of you hosted on of these before? ANY ideas or advice would be awesome! All I know is I want the UGLIEST sweater possible...maybe something like this...

Or this bad boy...

Saturday we are starting our day with some volunteer work. Our church is opening up a new campus called Northern Lights. We have volunteered to be part of the booster team to help get this church up and running! Now that we have a site (which is right across the street. YAY!) there is a lot to get done before opening day! Our tasks tomorrow are washing all the windows, and replacing the damages ceiling tiles!

It has been very cool to be part of something like this...seeing a community grow and develop from the ground up. Prayers that all goes successfully!

The rest of the weekend I am dedicating to cleaning, some Christmas shopping, and of course relaxing!

SIDE NOTE: Did anyone see Breaking Dawn last night? I have been really excited to see it ( I know I am a nerd) but have so far heard it's horrible! Let me know :)

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Hope yours is FABULOUS!

Feeling A Bit Random

Today is one of those days...I am ready for the weekend, feeling burnt out, and also feeling super random :)

SO...Lucky you! You get to hear some of my random thoughts today!

- People with road rage make me mad! Is being one car ahead of me...maybe getting to your destination a minute sooner worth putting other drivers in danger?  I THINK NOT!

-When I got to work this morning the temperature here in MN was 18 degrees... are you kidding me? I mean I understand Winter is well on it's way, but we could have atleast had a gradual decline in temp! I NEED a new coat...

- Almost every person that has come into my work today has made a comment about the cold. I KNOW people, I DID have to go outside to get to work this morning :)

-Dog hair on my black dress pants is inevitable..I give up!

- I am loving this saying on my Caribou cup. Bring on the Holidays!

In case you are a bit blind like me it says:
"Friends gather, Lights twinkle. Your warm hats and cozy mittens come out of hibernation. We laugh, spread joy, and give to others. We make it Merry."

- I am feeling a bit obsessed with Christmas this year, and can't get Christmas shopping of my mind!

-I should really clean a little tonight, but I would much rather cuddle up with my husband and catch up on a few of our favorite shows. Being lazy is calling my name!

Tell me a random though you have today!!

The Little Things in Life

Tuesday and Thursday evenings are by far the best week nights for Sean and I. These are the two nights out of the week that we have to be home and spend together. I always look forward to them, and cherish our time together. Last night was so relaxing and fun with my hubby. I was really taking the time to soak up the little things in my life that make me so happy and feel fufilled and cozy inside.

~Dinner with my handsome man. Last night he took me to Acapulco..so tasty!

~ Hot coco- Especially with candy canes during the holiday season

~Walking our pup Rem...I love the conversation and together time it allows us with no distractions

~ Candles and Christmas lights. One of the first things I do when I get home is light all my candles (close to 10 of them, I am obsessed) and plug in the Christmas lights. It makes the room feel so cozy and relaxing. Last night Sean surprised me with a new Holiday scented candle..So sweet!

~Bubble baths on a chilly night

~My slipper boots and PJ's

AND the thing that makes me most happy is just BEING with my husband, cuddling up with him, and feeling over joyed with love.

What are some little things that make you happy??

Your Life as a TV Show

Have you ever thought about which TV show your life would be? There are so many great shows out there..both old and new.

-Seinfeld
-30 Rock
-The Office
-Greys Anatomy
-The Big Bang Theory
-Friends
-Gossip Girl
-Glee
-Modern Family

One of my favorite shows of all time is in that list...can you guess?

FRIENDS!!

I am obsessed with this show. Everyday when I get home from work there is 2 hours of Friends on. It is just what i need after a long day. It makes me smile, laugh, and allows me to relax a bit. Definitely my guilty pleasure!

I have a very VERY close knit group of friends. We all get along so well, and love each and every person in the group just as much! If my life was a TV show, it would for sure be Friends, however there would be some extra cast member, not just 6.

Introducing you to Friends, The Grady Bunch edition:

First the Girls:

My Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe would be:

My friend Nicole-She is so funny, and always up for a good time.

My sister Jessica- She is the best big sister ever! We always have a good time together!

My friend Brittany- LOVE this lady! She is so generous, fun, and caring!

My sister Jaclyn: She is the quieter one of the group that just soaks up all the silliss :)

Now for the boys!

My Joey, Chandler, and Ross would be:

Jory- This is my sister Jessica's boyfriend. He is so funny, and one of Sean's best buddies!

Jesse- He always has something to say about everything....very sarcastic!

Jon- He is Brittany's boyfriend. Things never get boring with Jon around. He is the life of the party!

And of course Sean and I :)

What TV show would your life be?
