Just the 3 of us!

Hey friends! I am finally back...back to blogging (YAY) back to work (BOOO) and back to reality in general. I spent part of the morning already catching up on your lives...glad to see you all had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!

Having the past 11 days off with Sean and Remi was such a blessing!! I am so SO incredibly thankful for that time we had together! Our busy schedules just don't allow for us to have this together time as much as I would like, so I definitely soaked up every second of it up!!

Remi was loving having her mom and dad home and not being kenneled! She got lots of walks which also gave Sean and I quiet time together....SO in LOVE!

She got to go on a lot of car rides, which she gets so excited about! And she got Lots and LOTS of love and cuddles!

New Years was also great...Sean wasn't feeling the best so we decided to stay home and have a low key night together. We tried out a new stuffed mushroom recipe which turned out delicious, grilled some steaks, and cuddled in together to ring in the New Year...I wouldn't have had it any other way!

This past week has really opened my eyes to how blessed I am and to how special time is. You will never have enough money no matter how much you work...time with my family is the most important thing. Time to relax, cuddle, talk, fall asleep on the couch while watching TV, cook, go on walks, time to just BE together. Sean and Remi are my everything and I can't thank God enough for blessing us with this past week, I will forever be grateful for these memories!

Now that I have read about all your New Year's resolutions, I decided to share a few of mine! Let's see how far they go :)

-Eat healthier, and exercise more

-Pay off our credit card debt

-Work on not getting upset over small things. After a long day at work I sometimes let something so small as some dirty dishes get to me....I know it's not worth it, so I am going to try hard to improve this!

- Continue to grow in my Faith

- Meet some more blogging friends!

I hope you all have a wonderful day, I am off to continue catching up with you all :)

88. This face....he makes me smile every single day no matter what mood I am without even saying a word. Amazing.

89. My parents! I am so thankful for my parents. They have been incredibly supportive in every way possible. I couldn't ask for more, I have been so blessed.

90. My countdowns! As you know I have been counting down a couple things...graduation and the wedding. Right now we are 4 1/2 weeks from graduation and 7 months until I Do! CRAZY!

A LOVEly Valentines!

Wow, what a great weekend! It is bittersweet it is over....but I got to be thankful for everything that happened!

Friday night Sean and I went to my sister and her boyfriends house for dinner. He is an amazing cook, I felt like we were eating at a high class restaurant! Then we played some games and just hung out!

Saturday we slept in, which was SO nice! Then we ran some errands and spent some time with my family. Saturday night was our double date night with Jessie and Justin to celebrate Valentines Day! It was definitely a blast, and SO delicious!

My favorite ever dish, mushroom passion! I barley made a dent!
So I figured we were all done celebrating Valentines Day. Sean and I both work this evening, which is why we celebrated over the weekend....but when I got home from work this morning I came into my room to find flowers, chocolates, and the sweetest love letter from Sean. The letter starts by saying that he went card shopping and realized that no card could ever come close to saying how much he loves me, so he wrote one himself.....this is where I started crying! I am such a lucky girl to have such an amazing, caring, sweet, faithful fiance....I cannot express how excited I am to become his wife! 7 months 3 days until I Do!

Happy Valentines Day friends!!

An Amazing Start to the Weekend

So yesterday I told you that I thought Sean was brewing something up for today....well I was right! When I got off work today Sean was waiting for me to take me to my Valentines Day surprise. He took me to get massages, and to lunch! I have never gotten a massage before, but I was in need of one terribly. It was amazing!! I am such a lucky girl! Thank you sweetheart, I love you!! That was definitely the best start to the weekend I could have asked for!

Tonight we are going to my sister and her bf's house to play games and have dinner! Can't wait! Saturday night we have our Valentines double date with Jessie and Justin. I cannot wait for this, the food at the restaurant we are going to is to DIE for!

Sunday we don't have much planned, which is always nice. Sean needs to change my oil, and I am sure we will make a trip to the gym!

What are you doing this weekend? Anything special for Valentines Day?

LOVE

Valentines Day is just around the corner, and let me remind you how much I love to celebrate LOVE.  I feel so blessed to have my best friend, soul mate, my other half to celebrate with.

Yesterday I got to talking with some co workers about their Valentines Day plans. There are a few girls that didn't have any plans because they have yet to find that special someone. Part of me felt sad for them, however you don't have to have your soul mate to celebrate LOVE....right?

I know traditionally celebrations are suppose to be for couples, but WHY can't people celebrate love even if they don't have a significant other? There are SO many other people I love..... My family, friends, God, Jesus....why can't this day of LOVE be used to celebrate everyone that is special to us?

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the chocolates, flowers, and all the cheesy gifts that comes along with this day, however it has become such a materialistic thing, and it shouldn't be that way. This Valentines Day I don't want to spend the money on silly gifts, but rather I want to spend TIME with the people I love. TIME is the most amazing gift in my opinion.....what do you think?

How did I get so lucky?

So yesterday I was working on my computer and I hear a knock at the door....I go down to get it and its Sean! I was so excited to see him, he normally heads to work around the time I am getting off so this was a treat! Even better, he surprised me with lunch, my all time favorite soup that I have been craving the past couple days chicken wild rice soup! As I have said many times, Mondays are NOT my favorite...He definitely made my Monday 100 times better! It is crazy how the little things are often the ones that make the biggest difference! I sometimes wonder how I got so lucky to be blessed with such an incredible persons love, commitment, and devotion. I can't even express how thankful I am!

I have a little update on our house hunt! Our Realtor got a call yesterday from the sellers agent saying she hoped we were hanging in there. The bank is moving slowly but surely on our offer...so its looking good! Hopefully our patience pays off! In the mean time we have been collecting and collecting stuff for when we finally move out! Sean specifically has been gathering things for his garage lol. My good friend and coworker just gave him something he was SO excited about....can't you just see how happy he is?

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

The Little Things

Hey blogging buddies! I feel like it has been a while now since I actually blogged, I have been so crazy busy!! I am super happy we are half way through the week, it has been a long one already!

As you know Sean and I sold our truck recently, and since then we have been living with only one vehicle. Thankfully we have very different work schedules, and my family has been very helpful if we need rides anywhere. It has been hectic to say the least! Today I had to drive Sean to work. We stopped for lunch, and got to talking. Even though it has been crazy, difficult, and sometimes inconvenient to only have one vehicle that little extra time we have been able to spend together in the car has made SUCH a difference!

We both have really enjoyed being able to spend a little more time together this past week that we normally don't have. The little things such as this really make a difference. I remind myself everyday how lucky I am and even though I may complain about school, work, and just being busy in general, not to ever take anything for granted!

This weekend Sean's cousin is coming in to town from South Dakota, and is actually bringing the car we are buying from him! God sure had this planned out for us, it couldn't have happened any better! We were both nervous about buying a car from craigslist, so being able to get one from a family member has made everything SO much easier! It seems it all fell into place so nicely!

I hope everyone has had a great week so far! I have some catching up to do with all of you :-)

Hello Break

I am SOOO happy to announce that I am DONE with my classes this quarter! This was definitely a tough quarter, lots of work, and very time consuming...can't say i'm sad its gone! I now have a break until January 3rd. I know that doesn't seem very long, but considering I go to school year round, I will cherish and enjoy every second of it! The end is in sight...only one quarter left EVER!

Here in Minnesota we just got through another snow storm...this weather NEEDS to go away so I can travel up north for Christmas! We are nearing the most snowfall in the history on MN!! Isn't that nuts??! They have been having to bring in snow melter's to get rid of some of it...it is taking over!

3 days until Christmas!! I can't believe how fast it came this year! I am pretty much finished with my shopping, just have to go pick up some treats for my work party tomorrow! Are you finished with all your shopping?! I wanted to share two quotes I saw they other day, It really reminds us to remember the TRUE meaning of Christmas.  Many people get caught up in the busyness that the holiday season brings, the shopping, the cooking , traveling, the baking....just take a minute to remember WHY we will be celebrating this special day!

"Christmas is forever, not for just one day.
For loving, sharing, giving, are not to put away,
Like bells, and lights, and tinsel in some box upon the shelf.
The good you do for others is good you do yourself."

"God sent his only son into the world so that we might have life through him"
                                - John 4:9

This picture says it all....
