Friday News!

Today is SUCH a fabulous Friday! The sun is shining, the weekend is here, and I have been SO blessed with some great news!
My sweet friend Ria at Life as a Wife! referred me for a postition with the company she was working for, and I was offered the job! I am SOO excited for this opportunity! What a blessing that Sean and me were both offered great job opportunities within a week of each other! And a HUGE thank you too Ria!!! 

This weekend will be fabulous for many reasons!
1. Twins game tonight with some friends...no we don't have tickets, but we will be going out to get some wings and to watch it! 
2. Sleeping in tomorrow, it has been a LONG time since I have been able to sleep in so I can't wait!
3. Mothers day! I have the most amazing mom in the world! She has always been supportive, caring, SO loving, and always worked so hard to provide my sisters and I with anything we needed or wanted! I am so thankful for my mom and can't wait to spend the day celebrating her greatness! I LOVE YOU MOM!

Happy Birthday to my SISTER! AND Fab Friday!

I wanted to start by wishing my sister Jaclyn a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Today she turns 18!!!! YAY!

This weekend is busy, but with fun and exciting things! Tonight Sean and I will be watching the MN Twins season opener! I cannot wait I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!
Saturday morning we have an appointment to look at flowers for the wedding! The family is also getting together to celebrate Jaclyn's birthday at Olive Garden...YUM! I love having family time like this! 
Sunday Sean and I have our very first marriage class! I am excited, but I have to admit a little nervous just because I don't know what to expect....the unknowns make me a little uneasy! Any advice?
We are also hoping to find some time to help Sean's brother move into his new home fully...they still have some furniture to move! 
YAY for the weekend, it is finally here again! I hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing, couple days!

Happy Friday Friends!

The beautiful weekend is finally here, and I couldn't be happier. I feel like I say this every Friday, but when the weekend is here I am filled with excitement and happiness! AND not only is it Friday, but it is pay day, which means pay day treats! Today it was my jobs turn to host! It turned out great! My amazing Sean made the dish I brought for me...his famous 7 layer taco dip! It is to die for! 
First off, I want to thank everyone who shared their advice and sweet comments with me yesterday! I am so grateful for all the support! Keep any wedding advice coming my way, it is very much appreciated!
Speaking of weddings, I am so excited for tonight to watch my 2 favorite wedding shows...Say Yes to the Dress, and Four Weddings! Sean is so sweet and watches them with me lol! I can't believe some of these brides...they definitely forget what marriage is truly about. They are so worried about all the small details, and having the most expensive everything instead of focusing on what really matters, making vows to your best friend. I have promised myself to NEVER forget the true meaning of this wedding! Its about Sean and me starting our lives together, not the decorations, food, and money. 
Saturday morning we have another cake tasting...yummy! Afterwards we have some errands to run! I hear Target has some great sales going on for household stuff, so I want to check that out! I just LOVE Target! 
The rest of our weekend we will be relaxing and just hanging out, my favorite! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Much Love!

FAB Friday!

YAY for Friday! I am sure everyone is just as exctied I am for the wonderful weekend to finally be here! What a cold COLD Friday it is, I was really hoping the schools would be cancelled so I didn't have to wake up and brave the cold at 6 AM! YUCK! The thermostate at my house this morning said -22, not even including the wind chill.

 Today  my mom, my sisters and I ran some errands to get snacks and what not for my sweet aunt and cousin who are coming to visit from up north! I am very excited to see them!!

Tonight I have the evening off work to go with my sweetheart to his work party! They have some awesome prizes up for grabs, including 2 flat screen TV's that we have our eye on! Wish us luck!!!

Saturday we will definitley be sleeping in! I don't think I have been able to sleep in for over a month! It will be the relaxing day of the weekend for us which I am very much looking forward to! There is nothing better than laying around watching movies and just hanging out!

Sunday we get to do our cake tasting which I am SOOO excited for! I am leaning towards a smaller cake for pictures and cutting, then cupcakes for the guests. We'll see what flavors I like best!

SUCH a Fabulous FRIDAY!

Happy Friday blogging friends!! This Friday is EXTRA fabulous for a couple of reasons! 
#1: This is the start of a 4 day weekend...this is practically unheard of for me!!! YAY
#2: Sean has family coming from South Dakota who are bringing the car we are buying! We feel so lucky and blessed that they had this car available, and that they are able to bring it here for us as well!! 
#3: Tomorrow I get to see some sweet friends of mine at the ladies church conference {em-pour-er}!
On top of all these FABULOUS things, we also get time to relax together, and hopefully get some stuff crossed off our to do list for the wedding! Any suggestions for the cake? I'm thinking cupcakes would be fun, and easy! 
Our minds have also been racing thinking about moving out! A little update on the short sale we put an offer on....Last week our Realtor told us the bank was negotiating with the seller to decide which loans of his will get how much  money. I guess he has 2 loans out on the house. We are excited to hear that our file has been opened and the bank is at least working on it! I can't wait to get my hands on it and decorate! It is so perfect for us, so perfect! 
Along with moving out comes getting a  puppy. We both have been waiting and waiting for the time that we are able to adopt a pup! It makes me so sad to see how many animals don't have loving homes. Here is one that we have looked at online:

One more thing! My dad flies home tonight from California, please send out your prayers for a safe flight for him! I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!

Fabulous Friday!

Yay for Fridays! They are the best, and this weekend is well needed!! Sean and I don't have much planned, so it will be nice to have time to relax and just hang out!
While looking at my blog today something really hit me hard.....8 months, 1 week, 3 days until I DO!  Oh goodness, this has sure snuck up on me fast! I am SO SO excited for this, but have so much to do still! If you have read Our Story you know Sean and I were suppose to get married this past September...when we found out I wasn't graduating when expected we decided to postpone the wedding a year for financial reasons. At the time I thought it seemed so far away....well I was wrong!!
This weekend we plan on going to look at hotels to get blocks at for our guests, it still amazes me how early you have to book and plan stuff for a wedding! After that, the next couple things on my list include the cake, meeting with the wedding director at the church, once we have that info we can do the invites, and Feb or March we will be doing the dresses! These things will keep me busy the next few months.

Let it Snow!

YAY for Friday, and all I have to say is LET IT SNOW! Here in MN we are suppose to be getting 8-12 more inches of snow this weekend, along with very high winds....which equals BLIZZARD like conditions! I definitely don't want to be going out in this:

Don't get me wrong, I love MN, and I love the snow..It really is beautiful. I would just rather enjoy its beauty from inside my cozy home :-)
Considering the weather, Sean and I haven't planned much. We just need some time to relax, and be together. Since he graduated he has been working A LOT! Our Saturday will consist of movies, cuddling, cooking, and just being together! Sounds perfect to me :-)
Sunday we are very excited about church, and a little nervous! We had been invited by the Pastor to do a reading and light the candles on the Advent Wreath! We will be reading a section from The New Testament, Letter of James. We are honored we were invited to do this, however a bit nervous. I have never liked public speaking....I'm sure it will all go well!

TGIF! & Sweet Treats!

I am SOO unbelievably happy it is Friday! AND even better, next week is only a 3 day work week! I cannot tell you how excited I am to get up north and see my wonderful family! Last Thanksgiving we spent with Sean's, so this year its my families turn! 
I am definitely looking forward to a weekend of relaxing again. Now that we are waiting on this house, we are definitely saving our money, so this leaves us with a lot of time at home doing nothing! This is actually a good thing since we had been SO incredibly busy lately. Saturday my mom asked us to help her get some Christmas shopping done. She likes the company, and I like to help her pick stuff out for my sisters! 
Sunday we finally get to become official members of the church Sean and I will be getting married in!! After church, Sean's brother and his wife are hosting a small Thanksgiving for the immediate family. It will be nice to see them, haven't since they got married October 2nd! 
The last thing I wanted to share today was a holiday tradition! My amazing friend Ashley (check out her cute blog!)  tagged me asking me to share a sweet story from the holidays. Every year my family decorates the tree while listening to Christmas music. Then we make a bunch of delicious treats!! We melt chocolate and almond bark to dunk pretzels in and to make "ice cream cones." We also bake a ton of cookies. We put together little bags for everyone to take with them! 
So these "ice cream cones" I mentioned are the best, I highly recommend making them. They are easy, and delicious! You take bugles, and fill them with melted almond bark, then place a Christmas colored M&M on top. It gives you the sweet and salty taste...one of my favs!! My other favorite treat is also super easy! You place a rolo on a pretzel. Put them in the oven just long enough to get the rolo to get soft. They you push an M&M into the rolo! SOOOO YUMMY! Sweet and salty again!

Fabulous Friday!

So happy that it is Friday! I have been sick the past two days, thank goodness for sick pay! I am finally starting to feel a little better, but this weekend I will be resting, relaxing, and resting some more!
Tonight I am spending the evening at home with my mom, little sister Jodell, and Sean. I LOVE having nights to just BE and spend time with the family. I haven't had many lately, so I cherish them very much. Depending on how I feel, we are suppose to go meet Sean's sister's new boyfriend later on tonight. She is very excited about him, so were are happy to go and support her!
Saturday will be a busy day! A couple months ago my dad mentioned he would love to get a new picture of my sisters and I. The ones he has are at least 10 years old! We decided to surprise him with a new picture for Christmas!  My favorite photographer Ria (you may know her from her blog Life as a Wife!)  will be taking our pictures! She also did my amazing engagement pics that are all over my blog, and will be covering our wedding as well! I am so thankful we found her :) Thanks Ria!!
After the shoot I will be working all day, and night. I am a PCA for a boy with autism, and have been for 4 years now. He will be coming over to my house and spending time with us, he is pretty much like one of the family now! My little sister Jodell has a lot planned for them. Carving pumpkins, making caramel apples, and watching a movie are on the list!! Should be fun!!

Happy Happy Friday!

YAY!!! I am so SO happy it is Friday, and what a wonderful Friday it is! Today I don't have to work, so I didn't have to wake up to an alarm at 5:30am, I don't remember the last time that happened! How amazing it feels to sleep in, and not HAVE to get up! Can't start my day any better than waking up to this cute furry face 

My Friday is full of stuff to do! Funny how when you have a day off, you still are busy busy! I have laundry, some homework, and packing for the cabin to get done. Most importantly though, is a sister date! I have 3 sisters, Jessica, Jaclyn, and Jodell. It is very rare that all 4 of us can get together, so today we are going to have a lunch date! I am very excited, it should be a fun time :)

Later this evening when Sean gets off work, we will be heading up to the cabin with our friends Nicole and Jordan. Nicole and me have been friends since we were 3! She is basically like my 4th sister, definitely part of my family! We have a weekend planned of four wheeling, grilling, and catching up! Here is a picture of us at the cabin last summer!

It's Fabulous Friday!

I am soooo thrilled it is finally Friday, I am definitely ready for this week to end to say the least! I have quite the busy weekend ahead of me!  Today I will be trying to catch up on homework and some sleep. I worked until 11 last night, and than again at 6 this morning, so I am exhausted. Tonight Sean and I are having a night for us to relax and just BE together...our time has been limited lately. I'm thinking Chinese take out and a movie sounds perfect!
Unfortunately I have to work 8-3 on Saturday. Once I get off, Sean and I will be heading up north a bit to my sister and her boyfriends house. We will be going to dinner, then to a haunted hayride and corn maze. Should be a blast! I just love Halloween and Fall festivities.  
Sunday we will be going to church of course! After church we will be going to check out a floral market that my wonderful photographer recommended to me! I LOVE flowers at weddings, however I cannot justify spending almost a thousand dollars on something that will die in a couple days. I would much rather spend that money on pictures, videography, and things that will provide me with memories of my special day.  This market has beautiful flowers, but to save money you and your bridesmaids get to go to their warehouse and actually make the bouquets. Sounds like fun to me! Later on we will be watching the Vikings game and making dinner with our friends Jessie and Justin. Busy Busy Busy!

Fabulous Friday!

Yay! It is finally Friday! I love the weekends so very much! Lately I haven't been able to spend much time with Sean during the week, so we definitely cherish our weekends together!
Tonight Sean and I will be packing up and heading to the cabin for our Fall cabin trip! Each year we take a special trip up there to go four wheeling and look at the beautiful leaves! During one of our trips was actually when Sean proposed to me, it was so special and couldn't have been more perfect!  We will be going back to the exact spot :)

We don't have much planned for up there.  We are going to bring up lots of movies, lots of food, and just relax! We are in need of this time!!  We are excited to try out a new slow cooker recipe!  If it turns out well, I will share it with you :)

Hello everyone! I am so excited to finally be joining the blogging world! I have been wanting to start one for quite a while now, but have been so busy! I am a little overwhelmed with this, it seems very confusing! Hopefully I will catch on quickly. I want to start by telling you a little about myself! I am a 22 year old college student who works full time and is engaged to a wonderful man named Sean. I am working on graduating in March, and getting married in September of next year. Within that time we of course will be getting a home of our own!  It will be a year of such huge milestones, and I cannot wait to share it with you all!


Okay anyways, my good friend Jessie has invited me to join Fabulous Friday! Oh how happy I am it is finally Friday, it has been a long week for me!  Tomorrow my finance's brother is getting married, so this weekend will be full off wedding fun and family! Today Sean took a half day off work today, and we will be picking up his tux, getting his hair cut, and of course helping prepare his house for the grooms dinner and rehearsal tonight!  Saturday is the big day! I am so excited for Brandon and Bekah, they are such a fun loving couple, and I am sure their day will be amazing! It will also be fun to catch up with Sean's family from out of town. It has been a while since we have seen them.


Sunday will be a nice relaxing day.  We of course will be starting our day off with church and coffee!  Later in the day we will be getting together with my long time friend Nicole and her sweetheart Jordan.  We are thinking of going to a corn maze.  Fall is my favorite time of the year. It is so beautiful and I have so much fun with all the Fall activities!  I also am going to be sharing my engagement photos with her and her family.  They turned out incredible, and I am super excited to show them off  :)
