Thankful

What a lovely weekend. I hope all of you had a blessed weekend as well. With the holiday of Thanksgiving upon us I want to share things I was thankful for this weekend!

Friday we had some friends over. I am VERY thankful for my friends. They are all so loving, caring, and generous. Happy news! We got the invites out for the ugly sweater party. I am SO excited!

{In advanced, sorry for all the cell phone pics! I kept forgetting my camera this weekend!}

Saturday morning Sean, my mom, and I volunteered at the new church. I am thankful to be a part of such a wonderful experience. It is an amazing feeling to be helping to bring a place of worship to our community.

Saturday also brought Minnesota our first snow fall. I am not a fan of driving in it, or the extreme cold..however it is SO beautiful, which I am thankful for. This was Remi's first snow fall, and she loved it! She bounced around in it and just had a blast!

I was just LOVING her puppy paw prints :)

OH! and my mom got me a new center piece for my table! Thanks mom! Love you and I am SO very thankful for you!

Saturday evening we had a little date night in our cozy home. We ordered some dinner, and cuddled in to watch Water for Elephants which was SO good! This movie made showed me how lucky I am to have an amazing husband. I am incredibly thankful for Sean!

Sunday we went to church, grocery shopped, then spent the rest of the day doing stuff around the house, which I am thankful to have accomplished!
-Laundry
-Cleaning
-Baked Cookies
-Made ham, pickle, and cream cheese rolls (YUM)
-Listened to Christmas music
-Cooked dinner
-Endulged in my favortite Christmas candy!

One last thing I am thankful for today...a 3 day work week and a 4 day weekend!

Happy Monday Wednesday friends :)

It's FRIDAY Friends!!

We have finally made it! I feel like with the Holidays right around the corner, these dreadful week days drag by!!

This weekend we have a variety of things planned.

Tonight we are having some of our amazing friends over. I am excited to hang out, have some yummy food and catch up. A couple of us girls are also going to be planning our first ever ugly sweater party! Have any of you hosted on of these before? ANY ideas or advice would be awesome! All I know is I want the UGLIEST sweater possible...maybe something like this...

Or this bad boy...

Saturday we are starting our day with some volunteer work. Our church is opening up a new campus called Northern Lights. We have volunteered to be part of the booster team to help get this church up and running! Now that we have a site (which is right across the street. YAY!) there is a lot to get done before opening day! Our tasks tomorrow are washing all the windows, and replacing the damages ceiling tiles!

It has been very cool to be part of something like this...seeing a community grow and develop from the ground up. Prayers that all goes successfully!

The rest of the weekend I am dedicating to cleaning, some Christmas shopping, and of course relaxing!

SIDE NOTE: Did anyone see Breaking Dawn last night? I have been really excited to see it ( I know I am a nerd) but have so far heard it's horrible! Let me know :)

What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Hope yours is FABULOUS!

Your Life as a TV Show

Have you ever thought about which TV show your life would be? There are so many great shows out there..both old and new.

-Seinfeld
-30 Rock
-The Office
-Greys Anatomy
-The Big Bang Theory
-Friends
-Gossip Girl
-Glee
-Modern Family

One of my favorite shows of all time is in that list...can you guess?

FRIENDS!!

I am obsessed with this show. Everyday when I get home from work there is 2 hours of Friends on. It is just what i need after a long day. It makes me smile, laugh, and allows me to relax a bit. Definitely my guilty pleasure!

I have a very VERY close knit group of friends. We all get along so well, and love each and every person in the group just as much! If my life was a TV show, it would for sure be Friends, however there would be some extra cast member, not just 6.

Introducing you to Friends, The Grady Bunch edition:

First the Girls:

My Monica, Rachel, and Phoebe would be:

My friend Nicole-She is so funny, and always up for a good time.

My sister Jessica- She is the best big sister ever! We always have a good time together!

My friend Brittany- LOVE this lady! She is so generous, fun, and caring!

My sister Jaclyn: She is the quieter one of the group that just soaks up all the silliss :)

Now for the boys!

My Joey, Chandler, and Ross would be:

Jory- This is my sister Jessica's boyfriend. He is so funny, and one of Sean's best buddies!

Jesse- He always has something to say about everything....very sarcastic!

Jon- He is Brittany's boyfriend. Things never get boring with Jon around. He is the life of the party!

And of course Sean and I :)

What TV show would your life be?

IT'S FRIDAY!

We finally made it! And I couldn't be more excited for this weekend!!

Tonight we plan on relaxing, and I am going to work on my Shutterfly book of wedding pictures. I LOVE Shutterfly...I feel like it makes such a nicer looking display than a regular photo album. They also offer a ton of personalized gifts as well. You should definitely check it out if you haven't yet with the holiday season quickly approaching!

The rest of our weekend we will be going on a little road trip with our good friends Justin and Jessie who is over at I'm a Wife and Mama Now? We are heading up to a town a little south of Duluth MN and staying at a hotel/casino there. I am ready to gamble, dance, and let loose!  Us four always have so much fun together...here are a few pics from when we went to Vegas for Jessie's 21st birthday.

I am ready to have a good time!

What are you doing this weekend?

Happy Friday

Wonderful Weekend come and gone

I feel so blessed today, this weekend was wonderful and everything I could have hoped for....today is a happy day!

Friday night I went out with some of my favorite ladies! We ate some delicious mexican food, shared LOTS of laughs and chit chatted the night away!

Saturday we went to the Twins game that I had been anticipating for a long time now! They didn't win...and the game wasn't very exciting, but I LOVED being back at the stadium and watching some baseball! Afterwards we met up with some friends and had a blast!

Sunday we went to re look at our house as well as a couple others to compare it too.  I am SOOO happy we did this. The feeling came back as we walked in, it is our house, it feels like home. We love it even more now, and know it is the right decision to continue to wait patiently even though it has gotten frustrating! None of the other houses came even close to comparing...Praying we will hear this week!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Comforting Advice

I have a bible app on my phone that gives me a different verse each day. I love reading it every morning, it is the perfect way to start the day. Today the verse really spoke to me.

"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Isaiah 40:31

If you read my blog yesterday you know that I have been feeling impatient, anxious, and all those fun feelings towards some big things in my life that we have been waiting for to happen. After reading this verse this morning I felt at ease....Yesterday I received some really great advice from a couple sweet friends of mine: to rest in God, he has a plan for me, and God is faithful, even if I can't see the whole picture He knows what He is doing. This verse reminded me again of this advice.

God has an answer, I just need to wait for it. He will give me the strength to not grow weary. His plan for Sean and I will happen when it is meant to. I can trust in Him, He will never fail me.

Thankful on a Thursday!

McGlothin Family Nest

Well, we have almost made it to the weekend again! I am looking forward to a LOT this weekend, so it cannot come fast enough! Here is what I am thankful for this week.

81. Lunch dates! I LOVE going out to lunch, and chit chatting with my loved ones

82. Surprises! So i'm pretty sure Sean is brewing something up for tomorrow.....we'll see :-)

83. A Warm up! The forecast for here in MN is looking good....30's all next week, which is WARM!

84. Opportunities! Now that Sean is graduated and I only have 6 weeks left (YAY) I have been thinking a LOT about how thankful I am for my education! It is such a huge accomplishment to obtain a bachelor's degree, and I have to admit I am very proud of myself! The opportunities are endless, and education is something that you will always have and will always be valuable!

85. Valentines Day! I am so excited to celebrate with our friends Jessie and Justin at one of our favorite little restaurants!

What are you thankful for today?

YAY for Friday!

I am SO glad this week is finally coming to an end!! Our weekend plans are kind of up in the air right now...we were suppose to go up north but it's looking like thats not going to happen, which I am okay with. I am a huge homebody, so it will be nice to just stay home and relax!

This afternoon I had my graduation meeting! I am so excited the end is getting close, it doesn't even seem real! 6 more weeks left! Tonight Sean and I are meeting up with some of our friends for dinner....Our friend Nicole is the reason Sean and I met, she has been my best friend since we were 3. She is so fun and I can't wait to see her!

Saturday I plan on sleeping in as LATE as I can, which will probably only be like 8 haha. Afterwards Sean and I are contemplating switching to AT&T to get iPhones. My contract is up in April with my current service provider, but right now there is an amazing deal on iPhones...tough decision.

Sunday we will obviously be watching the super bowl! I am more excited for the food, commercials, and socializing then I am for the actual game. Sean is making buffalo chicken chip dip, so delicious!

I hope you all have a spectacular weekend!!!

WAHOO for Friday!

I am so happy that the wonderful Friday is finally here! This was a long week considering it was the first week back from Thanksgiving break.

This weekend is pretty busy! Our first busy weekend for a while now, so I am ready for it! Tonight our friends Jessie and Justin close on their new home! YAY :-) We will be going over there once Sean gets of work to check it out right away!

Saturday is the day we will be helping them move all their stuff! I am definitely excited to help Jessie decorate and make their new house a home! I LOVE interior design, so I can't wait to give her my ideas! I am praying the winter storm that is suppose to hit MN isn't as bad as they are predicting. This will making moving a mess! My dad is also suppose to be flying in from Cali, so please send out your prayers he has a safe flight!

Sunday we are also spending the day with Jessie and Justin. They invited us to go cut down a Christmas tree, and to decorate their new home for the holidays. We plan to cook, decorate, listen to music, watch Christmas movies, and just hang out! Should be a good time :)

Share with me what your looking forward to this weekend!
