Thankful on a Thursday!

McGlothin Family Nest

I am SO happy the weekend is almost here! This week surprisingly went by pretty quickly, which is always good :-) Here is what I am thankful for this week!

71. A relaxing weekend ahead! Sean and I have few plans this weekend, which I am very excited about!

72. The small warm up we are having! Today and tomorrow are suppose to be in the low 30's! This is going to feel warm compared to the freeze we have been in lately! Even though it will be short lived, I am going to enjoy it!

73. Cheap wedding invites!! My mom and I found an INCREDIBLE deal on invites this week!! I am so excited, and can't wait to get started assembling them!

74. Being done with homework for the week! I actually finished all my homework early! Wahoo!

75. My sweet, caring fiancĂ© Sean....I don't know what I would do without him...he is definitely my other half. Each week he amazes me more and more!

Now I am looking for some advice from all my blogging friends.....

So now that we are a little over 7 months away from the wedding, Sean and I need to start forming our official wedding party. I have seen people make mistakes in the past regarding who they choose, and some really negative things happen. I don't want any of this to happen to me, but at the same time I want to include everyone....How many people do you think is the perfect size bridal party? How do you choose who to have and who not to have? ANY advice will be great!!!

Happy Thursday!

I love linking up for Thankful Thursday! Getting good deals on wedding items is aways so gratifying :) 7 months tell the big day?! It will be here before you know it! So exciting.

It's like I always tell you Bud, the people in your wedding party should be the people you and Sean feel have been (and will be) apart of the rest of your lives and have been supportive of you. It should be the people you can count on for anything and that you LOVE with all your heart. Maybe the question that will help you is "Do I want _________ to stand at the alter with me as I start the rest of my life? Will they be there post wedding to support me?"

Ashley has a good point. It isn't the number you have up there, but who you have up there. Who supports you now unconditionally? Who do you see supporting you after. And who do YOU support?

Yay for invites! Where did you get them?? So exciting :0)

Andd... as far as the wedding party. We had 7 on each side. They were people from different seasons of our lives. It was perfect because I am so thankful for each one of those ladies and they for sure still play a vital role in my life to this day! I technically wanted like 12... but... Josh didn't buy that ;) Ha! You will know what to do. Ultimately - you also can't let the obligation factor rule your decision!! You go girl! It will be fabulous!

Great Post. I have 4 adults, a junior bridesmaid and a flower girl standing with me!1 It hasn't been easy. I have had to replace 2 people because they had backed out luckiy I was able to find replacements.. I suggest that you think about who is the closest and who will be there post wedding to support you guys. Your heart will tell you. Think and Pray about it.. We prayed long and hard and it probably was the most difficult choice to make for us in the beginning. Good luck on choosing your bridal party..

Like others have said, it is less the size of the wedding party and more who you feel has been there for you in your life and who will continue to be there for you.

I had 3 people in my bridal party and today only 1 of them is still in my life (my sister in law). My matron of honor, who was my best friend from the time I was 13, ended our friendship a month after my wedding. My other bridesmaid, a girl I'd been close to since high school, ended our friendship around the same time. It makes me sad to look back at pictures from my wedding and know I'm no longer friends with them.
